Today I want to discuss how to make a difference in the world. I'm talking about positive changes to help others. The recent world events have got me upset, however, they've also got me inspired. On this blog, I don't want to get too political, but the latest world events have got me thinking about how more people can make a difference in the world in many different ways every single day.
A corrupt imperial dictator has just invaded a sovereign territory without provocation and is actively ruining millions of people's lives. As we speak numerous humanitarian organizations are on the ground in Ukraine and other bordering European countries to help others. People are inherently good and this is proof of it. I want to echo the sentiment of pushing yourself to make a difference. We can all do more every day in our lives, in our community, in our careers to both make a living and make a difference. Let's talk about how to change the world, make a difference, and help others.

In my last blog about passion mission, I discuss this idea of making a difference very thoroughly.
I started my own foundation which has been one of the most rewarding undertakings of my life. I strongly encourage others to do the same. Charities around the world work tirelessly every day to make social impacts and alleviate human suffering in various ways. It's extremely important work and cannot be overlooked or undervalued.
Turning your passion into your mission and purpose is powerful. You can change your life by changing your career and living more fulfilled. At the same time, you can help to push humanity forward in your own special and unique way.
How to make a difference
So you may be thinking can one person make a difference? Of course they can! Ordinary people change the world all the time. You can be one of them - just have to try. Put one foot forward, then the next. Take baby steps. Making a difference in the world is one of the noblest pursuits.
Start planning your life with a life planner and get organized. What do you care about? Is it politics? Is it cancer research? Is it racial inequality? Is it awareness around gun control? There are so many avenues you can pursue. What has had the most effect on you in your own life? What changes would you like to see? You just have to decide exactly what that is.
My recommendation: Make a list of 3 things you are passionate about that can make a difference and narrow it down to one. Ask these questions when deciding:
1) How does my background serve this issue?
2) What other organizations are out there similar to mine and how can I fit in?
3) How much money will it take to get this idea off the ground?
Make a difference checklist:
1) Decide what you care about most that would make a difference
2) Write down a plan to get a career to help change the world or pursue your passion mission with your own charity or foundation.
3) Take one step every single day towards making a difference and changing the world until you finally do.
We can change the world and make it a better place. It is in your hands to make a difference. - Nelson Mandela

3) Alexander Fleming - This scientist discovered penicillin in 1928 which led to the introduction of anti-biotics, saving countless lives in the world.
4) Mahatma Gandhi - Leader of the nonviolent resistance in India against British rule
5) Malala Yousafzai - A Pakistan born refugee who fights for better education for women
6) Tiananmen Tank Man - A single man who stood in front of tanks in China and inspired a generation of people to stand against oppression.

9) Bernard Kouchner - Founder of Doctors Without Borders
10) Clara Barton - Original founder of the American Red Cross in 1871

Change the world and help others
Changing the world in a positive way doesn't mean building the biggest organization. It means lots of little organizations working together to compound the effects of major global change. Whatever small idea you have can have a big impact.
I encourage you to look inside your soul and decide if you'd like to completely transform your real meaning and purpose in this world. There is no higher calling than service to others.
Much love,

Help others make a difference and how to make a difference are two sides of the same coin. Help others quotes may be inspiring but we have to do more. No one is too small to make a difference. We need to bring more awareness to make a difference day.
